The Seven Sisters and Côte d’Albâtre are DFDS’s two ships on Newhaven to Dieppe, a crossing of about 4 hours. Because it’s longer than the Dover crossings, they’re set up for it: every passenger gets a reclining seat, there are cabins and kennels, and you can bring a dog even as a foot passenger.
The sisters were built in 2005 and 2006. They share their names with the chalk cliffs at each end of the route: the Seven Sisters near Newhaven, and the Côte d’Albâtre, the Alabaster Coast of Normandy, around Dieppe. The Seven Sisters has been refitted, and DFDS is making the same changes to the Côte d’Albâtre.
